Celebrity Twins You May Not Know About

So Beyoncé is pregnant with twins. George Clooney and wife, Amal, are expecting twins. NBC’s newest hit TV series, This Is Us, has Kevin and Kate, fraternal twins. These days, it seems like Hollywood is populated with real-life and fictional ‘double troubles’. And while you may be familiar with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Joel and Benji Madden, and Tia and Tamara Mowry, there are a lot of celebrities who share a birthday with a special sibling. Here are some you may not know about.

Kiefer and Rachel Sutherland

Born in London, Kiefer and Rachel are the youngest children of Canadian actors Donald Sutherland and Shirley Douglas. Kiefer,  an  actor, producer, and singer-songwriter, is famous for his role as Jack Bauer on 24. He is currently playing Pres. Tom Kirkman  in ABC’s Designated Survivor.  Rachel, who is seven minutes younger than her twin, works as a post-production supervision in    film and TV in Toronto.

Alanis and Wade Morissette

Well, you oughta know that alternative-rock singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette has a musically-inclined twin brother, Wade.    Older by 12 minutes, Wade is an indie pop-rock musician in Canada, a yoga and Reiki instructor, a motivational speaker and an  author.

Eva and Joy Green

French model-actress – and Bond Girl – Eva Green is a fraternal twin to sister, Joy. Eva, older by two minutes, gained international recognition when she portrayed Sibylla in Ridley Scott’s epic historical drama, Kingdom of  Heaven. In an interview, the actress expressed her relief that her twin sister is not interested in acting as they are  both  competitive by nature. Instead of being an actress, Joy studied business. She is now married to an Italian  count, and  rears horses in Normandy, France.

Aaron and Shawn Ashmore

Looking at Aaron and Shawn Ashmore is like seeing double. The Canadian-born identical twins are both film and TV  actors.  Aaron played the role of Jimmy Olsen in Smallville while Shawn was Bobby Drake aka Iceman in the X-Men film  series. They  have played twins in several movies in Canada. According to Aaron, because he’s slightly taller than  Shawn, his brother often  gets the “nice guy” role while he regularly plays the “bully.”

Rami and Sami Malek

Known for playing Eliot Alderson in USA Network’s acclaimed TV hit Mr. Robot, Rami is four minutes older than his  identical twin brother, Sami. In his guest appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live, Rami confessed that he pretended to  be his identical brother to help Sami get an A in a major exam that required an oratorical speech. Sami is now a teacher.

Mo and Hassan Farah

Olympic gold medalist and track and field GOAT, Mo Farah was born in Somalia a few minutes after his twin brother, Hassan. Both lived their early childhood between Somalia and Djibouti but were forced to separate for 12 years when Mo left for England with his mom and younger siblings. The Farah twins finally reunited when they were 20 years old. Today, Mo is a father to twin girls while Hassan married a twin.
